Dear Future Wife: Pursuing You

There are two ways a man pursues a woman.

Job vs Career.

A job is temporary, something just to hold you over until you find something else, something you need right now; to pass the time, add to the resume, quick etc.

Career is something you invest in, where you want to be, what adds to your personal definition, where you want to be purposely and the results of hard work etc.

Don’t get me wrong a job can eventually turn into a career but it just wasn’t pursued the same way.

I am blessed that you reviewed my application carefully.

You saw that I checked single as my marital status.

While pursuing you; I am not married, engaged, involved or playing the fence on what I want for the rest of my life.

When I clicked Single, it didn’t mean I was available to others.

I am single, looking for a double which results in us becoming married.

I took my time with my application because you are something I want long-term.

I worked to get to where you are and I want to be beside you.

I didn’t lie on my resume!

My experiences have shaped me to who I am.

Who I am, is a man ready to grow in the position of your husband.

While reviewing my resume, don’t be deterred.

I will share my experiences of past relationships when appropriate.

Don’t worry!

My love for you is not defined or shaped by how others have mismanaged it.

You will experience a love I have never been able to give because my resume experiences don’t contain my future, it just influenced and prepared it.

I am ready for on-the-job training.  I am ready to move up.  I am ready to retire in love with you.

Will you hire me?

Hire me for the long haul.  Our relationship will be my career; my jobs have begun and ended.

I am living in our greatest accomplishment.

Will you hire me to always work hard, overachieve  and grow our company.

I am working to get noticed and chosen amongst the applicants.
